July 2005 - Dartford 1/2 Marathon

28 degrees and hilly !

May 2005 - Sevenoaks 7

Can’t be arsed to write this one up, However  Ironman did a really good 69 !

May 2005 - Whitstable 10k

Popeye sets a new club record in 42 Mins 36 Seconds (83rd out of 589 runners).  Ironman, still feeling the effects of excessive drinking after the hash the day before managed to trot (but without the trots this time!) in 64 minutes (557 place, yes he wasn't last !)

I bet you can hardly believe it, but yes, Popeye has beaten an Olympic Gold Medallist! The after shocks are still being felt around the athletics world. Ok, so he might be 72 and he may have won his gold medal for the 50K Walk at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome, but Don Thompson is still an Olympic Champion and a win is still a win!

This truly historic moment took place at the Whitstable 10K on Bank Holiday Monday. This was a well organised race, with a fast course, scenic views, and an excellent race T-shirt! However, Popeye was not alone in flying the Harvel H3 flag, Iron Man was also in attendance as the Harvel boys took on Thanet's finest.

April 2005 - London Marathon

Excellent club performance by 10 club members, with Pitch setting a new club records of 3 Hours 28 Minutes & 4 Seconds Pictures and club results

April 2005 - Paddock Wood 1/2 Marathon

7 Club members completed the course, Golden Nuts wins for the club, with Shaggy & Ironman both achieving personal bests, well it was the first time they had run that distance.  Ironman actually wasn't last, as he beat 16 other runners, just overtaking the old biddy (Not Twiki) with the zimmer frame on the line.  The men's teams (first 4 men from club) came 35th as a team.  Katie & Fatnat were the 115 & 116 ladies to finish out of 499 lady finishers, which is pretty impressive.  Times were as follows-

Place   Club Name Time PB
419   Golden Nuts 1-43-22
665   Bimbo 1-50-58
666   FatNat 1-50-59
746   Slim 1-53-22
1073   Padge 2-06-04
1463   Shaggy 2-36-03 Yes
1504   IronMan 2-48-31 Yes

December 2004 - Thanet 10m

Excellent club turn out with 12 club runners having a good.  New club record for Sam in 1 Hour 6 Minutes and 50 Seconds.

October 2004 - Wilmington 10k

Two party animals (Humpty and Ironman partying in the Village Hall until 2 am) and one sensible runner (Popeye or 'boring bastard' who was in bed by 9 pm) turned out for the 'very undulating' Wilmington 10K.

With the 'party animals' head in hands (which head is up to you) and 'boring bastard' returning from 'runners knee' (yes another injury) the team stormed around the course.  Popeye first home in a new club record of 42 Minutes and 17 Seconds, and Humpy just pipping Iron Man at the finish in times of 58 and 63 Minutes respectively.

October 2004 - Croydon 10k

Another club record for the Judge Dredd in 48 minutes, closely followed by Ironman in 60 Mins, 20 Second - Hilly course so not PB todays

September 2004 - Larkfield 10km

6 Club members ran this year, all improving their times on last years race, and 5 achieving personal bests.  Ironman (Who ran as 'Compo of Harvel'!) was the greatest improver knocking 6 minutes off his previous time, but this was due to Duracell dragging him around the course, thinking he was Nelson! (That's her dog) However Boundary Man's club record of 2002 (42.15) still stands. There were 176 entries and no beer tent or down downs. Club Results

Thanet 10k - 2004

We left this one to Billy no-mates Judge Dredd to venture down into darkest Thanet, but it proved to be very worthwhile as he whipped their in-bred arses with a barnstorming run to win the event in a stonking time of 46 mins. Well done to the Wiz !

June 2004 - Dulwich 5Km

Shaggy achieves a new club record in 26 Mins 55 Seconds.  IronMan the only other club runner (actually running for JAGS AC - that must be worth a few hash forfeits) achieves a PB (well he's never run a 5k before!) in 31 mins 41 seconds.  However IronMan had arranged for a beer to be ready for him outside the Crown & Greyhound which was on the course, 1.5 km before the end, which he downed in one to a round of applause from the pub punters and the steward.

April 2004 - The London Marathon

Pitch sets a new club record in an impressive time of 3 hours 37 Minutes.  Other club member were Banzai 3 hours 55 mins, Whitewino 4 hours 6 mins, Speedy & Padge both at 4 hours 45 mins - Report

March 2004 Paddock Wood Half Marathon

Popeye comes home first for club but Hairy Ken retains club record - Report

March 2004 Bethersden (Near Ashford) 5 Miles

Popeye gains yet another club record in 32 minutes 30 Seconds, is there no stopping him. Judge Dredd beats his own goal by 2 seconds finishing in 36 mins 13 seconds and Ironman, coming up the rear again but not last, in 49 minutes 40 seconds. All these times were personal bests.  Report

February 2004 - Sidcup 10m

Olive Oyl running in club colours but not actually being a member club sets a new club record of an amazing (for a girl!)  time of 1 hour 31.  There are rumours that she may now actually join the club, but doesn't like her club name, I'm sure Popeye will persuade her.

February 2004 - Ashford 10k

Seven Club members have a go.  Popeye sets a new club record, is there no stopping him?  Duracell, IronMan & Judge Dredd all achieve personal bests.  Club Results & Report

January 2004 - Tough Guy

Everyone's a winner - Full Report

January 2004 - Canterbury 10 Mile

A new club record set by Popeye - As no one has done it before! Time 1 Hour 11 Minutes & 43 Seconds.   223 out of 900 runners. An undulating course (That's a joke two of the hills would give Harvel a run for it's money!) A very competitive race which was represented by most South East running clubs. Once again Popeye was single handedly flying the flag for HHHH!!!

November 2003 - Crowborough  10km

IronMan sets a new club record (Well he was the only club member in attendance!) in an unimpressive time of 74 Mins, coming 2nd to last, narrowly beating an old lady with her shopping.  This time is a Personal Worse for Iron Man and will be probably not be beaten as it is so slow!  (He was also lapped by the winner!)

October 2003 - Willmington 10km

Beertrix (allegedly in club colours!) 55 mins, Humpty 60 mins and Hare Flick with a personal best at 79 mins (Well it was his first 10k!)

September 2003 - Sittingbourne 10 Mile

Popeye Single handedly took on Kent's finest athletes, and was the sole
representative of the club on a bitterly cold day and possibly the country's
toughest course. (What does he expect a f**king medal then!)

Time 1 hr 14, (but Hairy Ken retains the club record at 1 hr 11. So there!)

September 2003 - Maidstone 10km

Hairy Ken (43rd) 41 mins 21 secs, Popeye (79th) 44 mins 07 sec, Boundary Man (154) 49 mins 46 secs, Olive Oyl 53 mins 55 secs (349 Finishers)

September 2003 - Larkfield 10km

10 club members run this year, including Iron Man!  However Boundary Man retains his 2002 record  Club & Full Results

June 2003 - The Harvel 5

Even bigger than last year - Full Report

June 2003 - The New Eltham Joggers Sharon Davies Norbury 5

Humpty claims new club record in 49.20, time greatly reduced by having to drag Iron Man around, who achieved a personal best of 50.07.  Other club members were Tadge with Hare Flick coming up her rear, both just over the hour.

May 2003 - Sevenoaks 7

The Tiger fails to beat his 2002 record by seconds.  The Tiger 51.02, Fatnat 57.26, Gadge 58.56, Golden Nuts 61.40, Duracell 68.33, Wizard 68.35.

April 2003 - The London Marathan

Hairy Ken wins followed by Biddy, Slim, Duracell, Beertrix and someone else.  Runners disappointed that course contained no false tails and lack of 'on on' calls.

January 2003 - Tough Guy

Everyone's a winner - Photos

September 2002 - Maidstone Half Marathon

Half Marathon Virgins, Humpty, Honeynuts, Fatnat joined a star studded field, including The Hairy One, Gadge, Boundary Man and Biddy. The Harvel team took on the best that Kent could offer and duly wiped the floor with them.

Hairy set his usual blistering pace, swiftly followed by Biddy. Honeynuts as seen to be making good progress, along with the Boundary Man, while Fatnat was once again showing many far more experienced runners, a clean pair of heels. Gadge was coaching Humpty along, both of them, clearly showing much potential for future events.

Good times were had and recorded by all, as follows:  Hairy Bald One, 1 hr 34 Mins (pb), Biddy, 1 hr 40 Mins (ipa), Honeynuts 1 hr 50 Mins (200gms), Fatnat 1 hr 54 Mins (Fit Bitch), Gadge 1 hr 56 mins (£M’s), Boundary Man, Humpty Dumpty 2 hrs 25 Mins (pb)

June 2002 - The Harvel 5

Dibley is this years club winner in a time of 32:52 beating the other 21 HH3 hashers who ran.    Gadge, The Chair and especially Iron Man obviously would have beaten this time but were unable to run due to race administration!  Full Report

May 2002 - Isle of Wight Marathon

Boundary Man is clear club winner of IOW marathon, well he was the only club entry!  He also achieves his best time ever being 3 hours, 52 Minutes & 50 Seconds.  He said this was after his 4th attempt, well done for running four times in one day!
