December 2005

A good turnout on the cold but sunny winters day.  Duracell wins with a personal best.  The Chair and token Token turn up late but still complete the course.  This was the final race in this series, so trophies were presented to Ironman (1st), Humpty (2nd) and The Chair (3rd)

October 2005

JEFF Wins with a PB, also PBs by DURACELL, FISH & RUB-A-DUB.  IRONMAN was just 16 seconds outside his personal best and still holds the Handicap crown.  POPEYE came up the rear.  Excellent timekeeping by TADGE .. she may even be let loose on a calculator next time, as managed not to break the clipboard or stopwatch this time!

August 2005

POPEYE wins this time in 34.21, Humpty comes second beating IRONMAN who came third.  IRONMAN still retains his crown but HUMPTY moves upto 2nd place and POPEYE to 7th Place.  Well done to Duracell & Little Madam for the time keeping.

June 2005

IRONMAN wins yet again, well it was only him and POPEYE and Popeye wasn't even trying!

April 2005

IRONMAN wins with a personal best of 46.32, knocking 3 minutes off his previous best time.  Excellent performances from both RUB-A-DUB & DURACELL who both also achieved personal bests.  POPEYE achieves the best handicap time so far of 34.07.  Well done to TADGE for time recording and for not breaking the clip board or stop watch!

February 2005

Well done TOKEN TOTTY for winning and with a personal best time of 41.04, not bad considering it was freezing cold, very muddy and snowing.  However IRONMAN reclaims his title.  PSYCHO was disqualified for turning up on a horse.. Also good performances from ROCKY (Formally know as The Chair) HUMPTY & FOZZIE. Excellently marshalled once again by POPEYE with his new assistant TADGE (Who wasn't allowed to use the club stop watch after breaking her clip board!)

December 2004

IRONMAN, who started first was overtaken by everyone else (lazy git, but he did have a bit of a cold and a groin strain!) loses his crown to PSYCHO.  However, The CHAIR wins with a PB.   TOKEN TOTTY turns up on time but DURACALL turns ups too early and has to go!  HUMPTY puts in another excellent performance. Thanks again to POPEYE for marshalling.  All back to the Ammy for the normal race debreif, which was helped by downing Mulled Wine.

October 2004

IRONMAN, odds on favourite wins and with a PB !  Excellent marshalling by Popeye (with his new stop watch)

August 2004

This is going to grow into a show stopper ! The initial entry of pioneers made this a great day. Marvellously marshalled by POPEYE ‘VICKY’ Vander, the entrants mustered on the start line and were all captured by the feeling of anticipation of the coming run. The atmosphere was very tense, but in an enjoyable way. HAREFLICK lead them off, followed by IRONMAN, then SHAGGY (accompanied by guide dog, FOZZIE), PSYCHO was hot on their heels, with PADGE not far behind him. TOKEN TOTTY was next away, chased hopefully, by BANZAI, with DOVER bringing up the rear. Personal bests by SHAGGY and PADGE saw them race to the top of the handicap table, but will they be able to stay there ??

Anyone who interested in joining in the next round shouldn’t be put off by having missed the previous. The ‘scratch time’ (your start time) is based on an average of previous runs, so you will be competitive, even if you only run a couple of rounds.
